Christmas Fairs
We’ve really enjoyed the opportunity to get out and about, promoting and selling our books to the wider community. Andy and the team have been out visiting quite a few Christmas Fairs, including some great local events at Leckford Farm Shop (Waitrose) and a glorious old wool barn just outside Stockbridge, Hampshire. Thanks for the invite Featherstone Flowers.
TrustPilot & Google Reviews
We’ve now set up a TrustPilot page, along with a Google review page to collect reviews and endorsements from our loyal customers. If you can spare 5 mins to post a review, we would hugely appreciate it! Thank you.
Orvis UK Facebook Live
Orvis (Stockbridge) kindly invite Andy in for a chat. Over a 25 minute interview they talk about inspiration for MLB books, mindfulness, inclusivity, the riverbank, why it’s important to encourage outdoor activities and much more.
Children in Read
Children in Read is a family organisation that has been running for the past 6 years. They raise money for BBC Children in Need by creating an auction and auctioning off signed and dedicated books donated by a range of authors. In 2022 we donated There’s No Deer Around Here and this year, 2023, we are very happy to do the same again and add our new title, Any Trout About? to the auction.
British Trout Association
British Trout Association are kindly working with MLB to help promote “Any Trout About?”. British Trout Association represents the UK trout farming industry. They aim to encourage research and development and promote all aspects of the industry, including promoting trout as a great food source. We think it’s really important that children know where their food comes from so this is a great collaboration for us. We must stress however, Any Trout About? is NOT a fishing book, it promotes outdoor adventure and discovering the riverbank.
New Stockist: Longstock Park Farm Shop (Waitrose)
We’re really excited to announce that Longstock Park Farm Shop (Waitrose) have kindly bought our books and will be stocking them in their children’s / gift department.
We’re all just one big family
Today I had such a fantastic couple of hours “chewing the fat” (as they say) with Will Hamilton-Davies a children’s author from Bristol. We compared experiences, challenges we’ve faced and generally looked to be positive and proactive, looking at ways to help each other in this new and exciting world of children’s publishing. It was such a positive experience and Will is such a lovely chap.
Leave No Trace
Leave no Trace is truly our mantra, something we try and follow and promote where possible.
Fly Culture Magazine
We just wanted to give a big shout out to Pete Tyias and Jonathan Ogborne from Fly Culture Magazine. As you will all know we are putting the finishing touches on our NEW BOOK and these chaps have offered some great advice. Thank you.
Hooray for international picnic day!
Celebrating #internationalpicnicday !
We love how a picnic brings everyone together! Based on the weather outside we think that whoever invented today must have lived somewhere much warmer than the UK, or was a definite optimist! But I guess dodging the rain showers is all part of the picnic charm!
