Children in Read is a family organisation that has been running for the past 6 years. They raise money for BBC Children in Need by creating an auction and auctioning off signed and dedicated books donated by a range of authors. In 2022 we donated There’s No Deer Around Here and this year, 2023, we are very happy to do the same again and add our new title, Any Trout About? to the auction.

Children in Read is a charity book auction which raises funds for the long-established British charity, Children in Need. It was founded by Paddy Heron, who continues to organise and drive the event forward from year to year. This year we were happy to support the cause by donating a signed book to be auctioned.

We had the pleasure of working with The BDS to ensure our latest book, There’s No Deer Around Here was factually correct; providing tips for spotting deer in our local surroundings.
