School Visit: Stockbridge Primary

Our founder and author, Andy Hussey had the pleasure of visiting his local School, Stockbridge Primary. During his visit one kind pupil did a brilliant reading with everyone joined in for the repeating line.

Following the reading, Andy took questions from the pupils regarding his inspiration, his plans for the future and the challenges he faced when creating a children’s book.

To finish the visit Andy then did a quick workshop with the pupils, asking pupils to “Look Again” and look closer at the mundane in our surroundings and in nature. He invited them to take the humble stick and let their imagination run wild.

What else could it be?

A rib of a stick monster?

An ant crossing

A wonky arrow

Part of a nest or dam?

Let your imagination run wild! Andy left this with the children to have a think about and they hope to build a display in the near future of all their thoughts and idea. Who knows, this could be inspiration for our next book. Watch this space!
