Introducing Alexandra Whitman, our SEN specialist. Known to us as Wink!⠀

As you all know, Muddy Little Boots has a lot of values and one that we hang our hat on is being inclusive, so we are thrilled to have our very own SEN specialist on-board to help with tips and advice for children who find reading a real challenge.

We don’t like to think of children being excluded and find that those with learning issues often have a creative flair and ability to think outside the box, which in our eyes makes them super special and very unique!

We have an audio element in our book which is an incredibly helpful tool for children with reading challenges as it provides multisensory processing, improving pace and comprehension.

Wink is on a mission to help raise awareness around learning difficulties like dyslexia, and help provide better access to the joy of reading for those children who find it challenging.
