For the love of water

We’ve received a lovely email and testimonial this morning from Adam Ellis, Founder of For the Love of Water (FLOW) CIC. Adam had some kind feedback and has purchased books to gift to local schools in the Hampshire area.

"Our natural world is having a tough time, we are seeing species decline and pressures associated with climate change. This is particularly evident in our rivers and streams, where increased water usage, pollution and habitat loss are affecting these precious habitats. To value these unique natural resources we must first fall in love with them, this is where the fantastic ‘Any Trout About’ comes in. Taking the time to stop and have a look in your local river can open up a whole new world, how many times have you walked past that trout, grayling or shoal of dace without noticing them? Taking time to stop and appreciate the biodiversity within our streams will develop the next generation of nature defenders, who will be mindful every time they turn the tap on or flush the toilet. The book follows Charlie and his dad where they meet various creatures along the river, in search of the elusive trout. Be like more like Charlie and stop, look and listen for wildlife – you might be surprised what you find.”

Receiving this on on #WorldKindnessDay is especially nice. Thank you Adam. @flow_cic
